The whisky was matured entirely in sherry casks – initially in various butt casks and later finished in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso hogshead casks. The final marrying of the casks was carried out by the whisky maker, Laura Davies.
Bottled at 46% ABV, without chill filtration and without added colouring.
Whisky as it should be.
While the Ardgowan Single Malt continues to mature in casks for several more years, whisky maker Laura Davies is crafting the Clydebuilt blended malts with the same care and expertise.
Whiskies matured in the finest quality casks are housed at the Ardgowan distillery, where every stage of their development is closely monitored.
The goal is simple:
