Gordon & MacPhail
Gordon & MacPhail is a family-owned Scottish premium whisky producer and bottler founded in 1895 in the town of Elgin.
Over many decades, the company has become renowned for its expertise in the relationship between wood and whisky. New make spirits sourced from distilleries are matured in carefully selected casks, where their character is refined throughout the ageing process.
The company also operates two of its own distilleries: the well-known Benromach in Forres and The Cairn near Grantown-on-Spey.
From 2024, the company adopted a new strategic direction: it will no longer fill new make spirit into casks from distilleries it does not own. Instead, it will focus fully on its own distilleries while continuing to release a wide range of whiskies from its extensive stocks of long-matured casks.
The name Gordon & MacPhail has become synonymous with rare and characterful single malt whiskies, created through respect for tradition, patience and the quality of the cask.
