Draughtsman is the final release of the award-winning Clydebuilt Collection.
Our Whisky Maker, Max McFarlane, combined a 25-year-old sherry-matured malt whisky with 8-year-old malts matured in Oloroso casks sourced from various Scottish distilleries. The result is a truly luxurious Blended Malt that showcases the pinnacle of sherry-matured whisky and the art of blending.
This release contains eight different single malts from the Lowland, Speyside and Highland regions. They were matured in sherry casks and first-fill Oloroso casks. A total of 500 cartons were produced, representing 3000 bottles for the global market. Bottled without chill filtration and without added colouring.
While the Ardgowan Single Malt continues to mature in casks for several more years, whisky maker Laura Davies is crafting the Clydebuilt blended malts with the same care and expertise.
Whiskies matured in the finest quality casks are housed at the Ardgowan distillery, where every stage of their development is closely monitored.
The goal is simple:
