Clydebuilt Riveter, the fourth release in the series, moves away from the previous blended editions and becomes the first single grain whisky in the collection.
Ardgowan’s Master Whisky Maker, Max McFarlane, commented:
“Grain whiskies are often overshadowed by single malts; however, the marriage of excellent spirit and quality wood never disappoints. The cask parcel I selected specifically for this Clydebuilt Riveter allowed me to create a whisky that truly showcases the depth of flavour a grain whisky can deliver.”
This release is a 15-year-old Single Grain whisky matured in first-fill bourbon casks. A total of 750 cartons were produced, representing 4500 bottles for the global market. Bottled without chill filtration and without added colouring.
While the Ardgowan Single Malt continues to mature in casks for several more years, whisky maker Laura Davies is crafting the Clydebuilt blended malts with the same care and expertise.
Whiskies matured in the finest quality casks are housed at the Ardgowan distillery, where every stage of their development is closely monitored.
The goal is simple:
👉 bottle only when the flavour profile reaches perfect balance.
In Hungary, these whiskies are exclusively available through Whisky Trail Hungary.
The Clydebuilt Collection includes the brand’s first six award-winning releases – five blended malts and one single grain whisky.
Each edition celebrates the craftsmanship of shipbuilding along the River Clyde and its rich artisanal heritage.
These special releases are the result of precision maturation, careful cask selection and true passion.
